Mt Monger Resources Assays Confirm Gold Intersection
THE DRILL SERGEANT: Mt Monger Resources (ASX: MTM) reported on recently re-assayed mineralised drill core from a previously reported RC drilling program completed at the company’s Mt Monger gold project near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
Mt Monger Resources has now received detailed one metre assay results from a program of reverse circulation (RC) drilling that was completed at a number of prospect areas at the Mt Monger gold project.
The company declared the one metre drill samples confirm and refine gold mineralisation intersections, returning:
22MMRC004
7 metres at 3.12 grams per tonne gold from 48m including, 4m at 5.01g/t gold from 48m; and
22MMRC009
4m at 1.5g/t gold from 45m including 1m at 3.22g/t gold from 46m.
“Initial composite sample results from this drilling program highlighted the potential for gold mineralised structures in all the areas which were tested at Mt Monger,” Mt Monger Resources managing director Lachlan Reynolds said in the company’s ASX announcement.
“Pleasingly, the new assays have confirmed the intersections and provided better resolution on the gold grade distribution.
“There is certainly scope for the discovery of a larger mineralised system.
“Based on these new results, the company is considering further drilling to infill and extend the coverage of the intersected mineralised structures.”
