Ramelius drills high-grade gold results
THE DRILL SERGEANT: Ramelius Resources (ASX: RMS) has received assay results from recent Reverse Circulation (RC) exploration drilling carried out at the company’s Vivien gold project near Leinster and its 100 per cent-owned Coogee gold project south of Kalgoorlie.
On the Vivien Main Lode, Ramelius completed a series of RC drill holes designed to test for up-dip continuity and shallow plunging repetitions to the high-grade mineralisation the company encountered during its 2013 drilling campaign.

The drilling scoped for possible extensions to the new hangingwall lode previously intersected in VVDD1005 (6.7 metres at 8.29 grams per tonne gold).
The latest drilling returned encouraging gold mineralisation of:
VVRC1000
9m at 2.88g/t gold from 127m, including 1m at 10.7g/t gold.
Ramelius said modelling and interpretation of the new hangingwall mineralisation is continuing.
From historic RC and diamond drilling at the Vivien Gem deposit, located 2km north of the Vivien gold deposit, Ramelius has identified encouraging high-grade gold mineralisation.
Previously reported significant historical results at Vivien Gem include:
EMSD847
2.7m at 28.7g/t gold;
EMSC4440
11m at 7.03g/t gold;
EMSC4382
15m at 4.09g/t gold; and
EMSC4381
14m at 4.98g/t gold.
The company followed up these results with 13 RC drill holes (VVRC1006 to 1018) to confirm the plunge of the high-grade mineralisation.
The company said the recent RC drilling supported the historical intersections by returning further encouraging intersections including:
VVRC1011
6m at 7.06g/t gold from 212m; and
VVRC1017
10m at 6.56g/t gold from 176m, including 1m at 45.2g/t gold from 180m.
Step out RC drilling conducted away from the Coogee open pit included five RC holes (CORC0010 to 14).
The drilling intersected highly encouraging drill hole assays, including:
CORC0014
3m at 21.02g/t gold from 104m, including 1m at 54.47g/t gold from 105m;
The company indicated it has follow-up drilling planned to link this intersection with mineralisation below the pit.
