Cassini Resources Intersects Massive Sulphide Extension with first Nebo Hole

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Cassini Resources (ASX: CZI) reported first results from recent drilling undertaken at Nebo-Babel within the comaony’s West Musgrave Project (WMP), located in Western Australia.

Cassini Resources said the drilling had been carried out as part of an Earn-in/JV Agreement with OZ Minerals (ASX: OZL).

Cassini recently completed 11 RC holes at the Nebo and Babel deposits targeting extensions of high-grade mineralisation within and outside the current Resource model.

The first assays received came from the eastern end of the Nebo deposit, where hole CZC0166 intersected a massive sulphide zone containing:

3 metres at 1.8 per cent nickel, 0.21 per cent copper, 0.06 per cent cobalt and 0.21 grams per tonne platinum group elements (PGE).

The intersection coincided with an EM conductor within the host gabbronorite.

Cassini considers the intercept demonstrated the potential it has to identify and delineate higher grade zones beyond the current Nebo resource, particularly considering the coincident EM conductor extends for a further 150m east of CZC0166, with no historical drilling in the area.

“This hole is from the eastern-most line of drilling at Nebo where previous broad-spaced drilling had only detected lower grade mineralisation,” Cassini Resources explained in its ASX announcement.

“It is expected that this intercept will positively affect the resource model and subsequent mine re-optimisation.

“Significantly, this hole demonstrates that the Nebo-Babel host intrusion has not been closed-off to the east and may extend well beyond the current drilling, presenting an example of the potential for further discoveries at the project.

“This potential has also been demonstrated by the recent One Tree Hill discovery previously announced to the ASX in January 2017.”

Cassini indicated it will be undertaking a review of all previous exploration to plan a follow-up Resource definition and regional reconnaissance program.
