Breaker Resources Establishes Continuation of Bambora Mineralisation
THE DRILL SERGEANT: Breaker Resources (ASX: BRB) released infill drilling results, which it claims to confirm continuity of wide, high-grade mineralisation at the Bombora discovery within the company’s 100 per cent-owned Lake Roe gold project near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
Breaker Resources considers the results to be a major milestone in demonstrating the continuity, mineability and therefore the economic potential of the 2.2 kilometres-long Bombora discovery.
The company explained the current RC and diamond drilling is part of an ongoing program it is carrying out to assess the geometry, grade characteristics and extent of gold mineralisation both within and along strike from the Bombora discovery prior to resource estimation.
Breaker said the infill RC and diamond drilling results confirmed three stacked gold-mineralised fault orientations, which it believes are likely to boost ounces per vertical metre, strengthening the economics of what the company rates as a major greenfields gold discovery.
Latest RC results include:
BBRC0190
12 metres at 5.83 grams per tonne gold from 52m, including 4m at 11.52g/t gold;
BBRC0194
54m at 2.38g/t gold from 5m, including 19m at 2.25g/t gold and 27m at 3.1g/t gold, including 11m at 5.82g/t gold;
BBRC0200
20m at 2.87g/t gold from 28m, including 9m at 5.53g/t gold, including 3m at 11.88g/t gold;
BBRC0189
24m at 1.47g/t gold from 48m, including 14m at 2.26g/t gold, including 2m at 10.26g/t gold;
BBRC0195
28m at 1.88g/t gold from 48m, including 19m at 2.64g/t gold, including 5m at 8.18g/t gold; and
BBRC0193
36m at 1.83g/t gold from 4m, including 16m at 3.48g/t gold, including 7m at 6.62g/t gold.
Latest diamond drill results (3 holes) include:
BBDD0006
21.3m at 5.1g/t gold from 46.4m, including 12.7m at 7.07g/t gold, including 5.1m at 15.33g/t gold;
BBDD0008
3.55m at 7.77g/t gold from 50.45m, including 1.93m at 13.8g/t gold, including 1.48m at 17.54g/t gold; and
BBDD0009
1.3m at 6.79g/t gold from 64m, including 0.5m at 12.26g/t gold.
“We are also continuing to see more gold in general as we drill close to gold intersections that were previously ‘floating in space’ in many areas due to the wide-spaced nature of the drilling.
“The stacked nature of the gold lodes and the presence of at least three gold-mineralised orientations is likely to be very positive for the overall gold endowment.
“Bombora is clearly shaping up as a major greenfields gold discovery and we are continuing to unlock its potential as rapidly as possible with three rigs currently undertaking resource drilling on the main 2.2 kilometres-long discovery zone in conjunction with selective drilling both along strike and at depth.”
