Venture Minerals Commences Drilling at Golden Grove North

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Venture Minerals (ASX: VMS) has commenced a second phase of exploration drilling at the company’s Golden Grove North project in Western Australia.

Venture Minerals has kicked off proceedings with Diamond Core drilling that will be testing priority zinc-copper-gold targets that will follow up on results from earlier reconnaissance style drilling at the Orcus prospect and maiden drill holes testing a number of the other newly identified, strong EM conductors situated along the five kilometres long VMS Target Zone akin to the Scuddles-Gossan Hill area at the Golden Grove Mine along strike to the south.

“The much anticipated second phase of drilling at the company’s flagship exploration asset Golden Grove North has begun,” Venture Mining managing director Andrew Radonjic said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“Venture’s Exploration Team will switch focus to following up some very exciting drill intersections at Orcus and several strong EM conductors within the Golden Grove North VMS Target Zone.

“The company’s Western Australian assets continue to deliver exciting exploration opportunities whilst the Riley Iron Ore Mine Development Team gets on with building the Wet Screening Plant.”

Venture Minerals Encounters Copper and Zinc Rich Sulphides at Golden Grove North

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Venture Minerals (ASX: VMS) has reported instant drilling success at the highest-priority Volcanic Massive Sulphide (VMS) drill target the company’s Golden Grove North project in Western Australia.

Venture Minerals declared the first drill hole (ORRC001) at Orcus to have intersected 33 metres of disseminated to semi-massive sulphides with copper and zinc.

The sulphide intersection sits predominately within a chlorite-sericite altered sequence of foliated mafic volcanics which is a potential host for VMS style mineralisation.

Venture carried out a visual inspection and preliminary hand-held XRF analyses on the RC chips that it claims has verified the presence of copper and zinc (chalcopyrite and sphalerite) within the pyrite dominated sulphides.

Samples are being prepared for submitting to a laboratory for assay to confirm the observed mineralisation.

“The first drill hole at Orcus has had immediate success with a strong intersection of sulphides containing copper and zinc,” Venture Minerals managing director Andrew Radonjic said in the company’s announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange.

“Venture eagerly awaits the assays to confirm the highly likely addition of both gold and potential silver mineralisation as it moves onto the next drill holes at Orcus, the company’s highest priority VMS target at Golden Grove North.”

Drilling at Orcus is initially targeting immediately below historic (2008) RC drill hole WRC054, which intersected shallow VMS style mineralisation along strike and between two other high priority VMS drill targets.

The VMS style drill intersection of 22m at 0.76g/t gold, 0.64 per cent copper and 1.3 per cent zinc from 38m to bottom of hole, including 10m at 1g/t gold, 0.74 per cent copper and 2.1 per cent zinc from 50m to bottom of hole, sits on trend between two other recently delineated high-priority VMS drill targets of Vulcan North and Vulcan West.

Venture Minerals Confirms Orcus Target as Priority Number One

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Venture Minerals (ASX: VMS), by way of a ground (Moving Loop) EM survey, has confirmed the fourth and now the highest priority VMS Drill Target (now named Orcus) at the company’s Golden Grove north project in Western Australia.

Venture Minerals is currently drilling at the Vulcan North target within the Golden Grove project, however, once the three planned drill holes are completed at Vulcan North the RC rig will be moved onto Orcus – which has moved up the ranks as the highest priority drill target.

Orcus already boasts a VMS style drill intersection of:

22 metres at 0.76 grams per tonne gold, 0.64 per cent copper and 1.3 per cent zinc from 38m to bottom of hole, including 10m at 1g/t gold, 0.74 per cent copper and 2.1 per cent zinc from 50m to bottom of hole.

Orcus sits on trend between two other recently delineated high-priority VMS drill targets – Vulcan North and Vulcan West.

“The Golden Grove north project continues to deliver with confirmation by the EM survey of the Orcus VMS drill target, which is the fourth and now the highest priority target to date,” Venture Minerals managing director Andrew Radonjic said in the company’s announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange.

“The company will now switch the rig onto Orcus to bring forward the testing of this very exciting target.”

Venture Minerals Claims New VMS Discovery at Golden Grove North

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Venture Minerals (ASX: VMS) announced the discovery of Vulcan, a VMS target located along strike from the world class Golden Grove VMS mine.

Venture Minerals described Vulcan as being analogous to Gossan Hill, the largest deposit in the Golden Grove Camp, with the new discovery hosting a similar sized geochemical copper anomaly sitting within Western Australia’s premier VMS district.

The company acquired the Golden Grove North project in 2018, since when it has utilised a systematic exploration approach, employing the latest techniques to explore for VMS style mineralisation.

Vulcan is the first VMS target to yield from that work program.

“This is an exciting VMS discovery by our Exploration Team along strike to a world class VMS Mine in Western Australia,”

“We look forward to generating further results on the Vulcan Target and yielding additional VMS targets at Golden Grove North for testing in the near future.”
