E79 Gold Mines Scores Multiple Gold Hits at Laverton

THE DRILL SERGEANT: E79 Gold Mines (ASX: E79) reported latest results from air-core drilling at the company’s Laverton South gold project in Western Australia.

E79 Gold Mines received assays for a further 50 aircore holes, the results from which have continued to confirm and extend the zone of coherent gold mineralisation discovered at Target 3.

The results also included multiple gold intercepts reported to end-of-hole, with recently received results from a newly-identified Southern Zone including:

22LRAC394
4 metres at 3.2 grams per tonne gold; and

22LRAC369
3m at 1.55g/t gold, including 1m at 3.88g/t gold to end-of-hole.

“This is a very exciting development for the company, as we are seeing a clear change from gold anomalism to gold mineralisation in the southern air-core drill lines,” E79 Gold CEO Ned Summerhayes said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“Air-core drilling has intersected two mineralised zones with gold values greater than 3 grams per tonne gold, which is an excellent early stage result.

“Both mineralised zones sit below the paleochannel, are associated with quartz veining and sit in the same stratigraphic position on adjacent drill lines, 300 metres apart.

“This new zone sits to the south of the central zone and forms part of a 2,600 metres long anomalous zone, which remains open to the south.

“With the RC rig arriving soon to test for gold at depth, we are excited to see what lies beneath Target 3.”

E79 Gold Mines Gets Auger Program Underway at Jungar Flats

THE DRILL SERGEANT: E79 Gold Mines (ASX: E79) has commenced a geochemical sampling program at the company’s Jungar Flats gold project in the Murchison region of Western Australia.

This follows earlier soil sampling, trialling the Ultrafine™ analytical technique, that identified gold anomalism in three of four locations tested.

These three anomalous locations all lie on the interpreted Big Bell Shear and as a result, E79 Gold is undertaking a large-scale soil sampling program to test what it considers a highly prospective corridor.

E79 Gold Mines has kicked off a 3000-plus sample auger program with the aim of testing approx. 40 kilometres of strike of this greenstone belt.

Samples will undergo Ultrafine™ analysis, an analytical technique developed by CSIRO to be able to identify geochemical anomalism.

E79 will complete this auger program this year with results expected during quarter 1, 2023.

“We are excited to commence testing of this largely unexplored greenstone belt, where our earlier trial soil sample program produced anomalous gold in three of the four locations tested,” E79 Gold Mines CEO Ned Summerhayes said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“Additionally, historic drilling has identified anomalous gold in early-stage drilling in two locations, which has not been followed up.

“This greenstone belt is a high priority target where the potential host greenstone sequence lies in close proximity to the highly prospective Big Bell Shear which hosts the Big Bell Mine, the largest gold mine in the region.”

E79 Gold Mines Hits Multiple Zones of Significant Gold Anomalism

THE DRILL SERGEANT: E79 Gold Mines (ASX: E79) recently completed an air-core drilling program across Target 3 and Target 4 at the company’s Laverton South gold project in Western Australia.

E79 Gold Mines received assay results from the first 80 holes of the program, drilled at Target 3, which have demonstrated thick zones of gold anomalism.

A Central Core zone has been identified where a thick zone of anomalous gold persists until the end-of-hole.

Best results include:

22LRAC246
18 metres at 0.15 grams per tonne gold from 52m; (east end of drill line)

22LRAC256
8m at 0.21g/t gold from 48m;

22LRAC264
19m at 0.13g/t gold from 80m; and

22LRAC268
12m at 0.19g/t gold from 68m.

“The air-core program at Target 3 was to in-fill the wide spaced drill lines from the previous program and extend the anomaly to the south, where it remains open,” E79 Gold CEO Ned Summerhayes said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“The assays received so far are from the in-fill part of the program.

“The identification of a central core is an exciting development: in addition to being below the regional paleochannel, the central core target shows a thick zone of anomalous gold to the end-of-hole.

“The gold pathfinder elements, evidence of fluid flow and location close to a granite/sediment/mafic contact at the central core zone has analogies to large deposits in the region such as Victory (St Ives) and Sunrise Dam (AngloGold Ashanti), both of which were discovered under thick transported cover with RAB/AC drilling giving the first clues to the mineralisation.

“We look forward to testing this target at depth with the upcoming RC drilling program.”

E79 Gold Mines Takes Full Control of Pinjin Gold Project

THE BOURSE WHISPERER: E79 Gold Mines (ASX: E79) has taken 100 per cent-ownership of the Pinjin gold project, within the company’s broader Laverton South gold project area.

E79 Gold had originally acquired the Pinjin tenements through a Joint Venture with St Barbara, under which it was earning an initial 80 per cent interest in the project.

St Barbara has now elected to relinquish its remaining interest, allowing E79 Gold to acquire the whole box and dice.

“We are pleased to take full control of the Pinjin project, giving E79 Gold 100 per cent ownership of the overall Laverton South project,” E79 Gold CEO Ned Summerhayes said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“We would like to thank St Barbara personnel for their help and support, and for giving E79 Gold the opportunity to explore on this ground.

“The Pinjin area has a long history of gold exploration and discovery and we are looking forward to continuing exploration and unlocking the significant potential of the area.”

E79 Gold Mines Commences Laverton South Drill Program

THE DRILL SERGEANT: E79 Gold Mines (ASX: E79) has commenced a new phase of aircore drilling at company’s 100 per cent-owned Laverton South gold project in Western Australia.

E79 Gold Mines has designed the program to in-fill a large 1.6 kilometres long gold target it had delineated via its initial aircore drill program earlier this year and to provide more detailed geological information ahead of deeper reverse circulation (RC) drilling later this year.

“We are excited to get the aircore drill rig back to continue testing key targets at the Laverton South project,” E79 Gold CEO Ned Summerhayes said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“Recent aircore results confirmed the presence of significant gold anomalism over a strike length of more than 1.6 kilometres – and open along strike both to the north and south – at Target 3.

“Target 3 will be a priority for aircore follow-up in advance of RC drill testing.

“The large-scale program will comprise over 20,000 metres of aircore drilling, allowing us to cover a number of targets and to in-fill parts of Target 3 to gain a better understanding of the controls on the mineralisation, before we begin deeper RC drilling later this year.

“Drilling will also test for southern extensions of Target 3 as well as test multiple greenfields targets at Lake Yindana, pending heritage survey clearances.”

E79 Gold Mines Drills Pinjin JV Gold Target

THE DRILL SERGEANT: E79 Gold Mines (ASX: E79) reported further assay results received for Target 3, at the company’s Laverton South project in Western Australia.

E79 Gold completed air-core drilling at the Pinjin JV with St Barbara (ASX: SBM) from November 2021 to February 2022 across three target areas, resulting in 81 holes for 3,342m over Target 3.

Assay results from the first 40 holes of the program were released in April, now further results for the remainder of the aircore program at Target 3 show gold anomalism has been extended by 900 metres to the south, for a total strike extent of over 1,600m.

“The final air-core results from Target 3 show that a robust gold target is starting to emerge over a significant strike extent in excess of 1,600 metres,” E79 Gold CEO Ned Summerhayes said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“Multiple coherent zones are demonstrating anomalism for both gold and gold pathfinder elements, with a number of drill holes ending in strong gold anomalism in bedrock.

“This is important as the anomalism sits below the large regional paleochannel and represents in-situ gold mineralisation, which has not been drill tested at depth.

“End-of-hole spectral data provides evidence for gold deposition being controlled by large-scale oxidised / reduced fluid mixing, which is a trait common of the larger gold mines within the Laverton region.

“Our work on this target to date remains wide-spaced reconnaissance drilling which will be in-filled to better define targets for reverse-circulation drill testing.

“Notwithstanding the disappointing and industry-wide delays in receiving assays, E79 Gold Mines is executing its systematic testing of targets within the company’s highly prospective tenure packages, and we are very pleased with the results achieved to date which is establishing the basis for realising the potential for meaningful discovery.”

E79 Gold Commences Major Aircore Drilling Program

THE DRILL SERGEANT: E79 Gold Mines (ASX: E79) has begun its first drilling program over the company’s Laverton South gold project in Western Australia.

E79 Gold recently listed on the back of two projects, one being the Laverton South Project in the Laverton gold district and the other being the Jungar Flats project in the North Murchison region.

The Laverton South project covers a southern portion of the Laverton Tectonic Zone (LTZ) east north-east of Kalgoorlie, within the Archean Yilgarn Craton of Western Australia.

The LTZ is a rich gold belt having historically produced more than 30 million ounces of gold.

Within the Laverton South project are two tenement packages, Lake Yindana and the Pinjin JV, which sit within 15km either side of the Rebecca gold deposit.

“The start of our initial drilling program is an exciting time and an important milestone for E79 Gold,” E79 Gold CEO Ned Summerhayes said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“We look forward to testing our key targets and keeping the market updated on our progress.

“The first program is testing one of the walk-up drill targets within the Pinjin JV ground.

“We expect this program to continue through into the new year before undertaking programs on the Lake Yindana tenement.

“Elsewhere within our portfolio, the gravity survey at Jungar Flats is now underway and is expected to be completed this year.”

E79 Releases Ground Gravity Survey results from Pinjin JV at Laverton South

THE DRILL SERGEANT: E79 Gold Mines (ASX: E79) reported preliminary results from recently completed geophysical programs over the company’s Laverton South gold project in Western Australia.

Within the Laverton South Project E79 have two tenement packages, Lake Yindana and the Pinjin JV.

E79 has a farm-in agreement with St Barbara (ASX: SBM) over the Pinjin project, which contains targets that were evaluated and ranked by St Barbara, including walk-up drill targets.

These targets are generally associated with a dolerite unit that runs through the southern tenement package and contains several highly ranked targets.

A 2D seismic survey was recently undertaken to map this dolerite unit at depth and identify the regional stratigraphy. Data has been collected and processing is underway.

A ground survey in the northern part of the JV returned preliminary results revealing a potential intrusion into the stratigraphy.

This target is considered a high priority with exploration and drill planning underway.

“E79 Gold has been busy undertaking various geophysical activities on our tenement package while we conclude our heritage surveys prior to initial drilling at the Laverton South project,” E79 CEO Ned Summerhayes said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“Within the Pinjin JV we have both gravity and 2D seismic, with preliminary results from the gravity survey showing a potential intrusion within the greenstone stratigraphy, which requires further exploration.

“The 2D seismic will be processed in due course and we look forward to unearthing more information about this highly prospective area.

“Once completed the baseline gravity data at Jungar Flats will give us valuable insight into the geology and structure under cover, similar to the insight’s recent gravity data at our Lake Yindana project has provided.”
