Caprice Resources Confirms Lady Sampson Base Metals

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Caprice Resources (ASX: CRS) reported results from recent drilling undertaken at the company’s Northampton polymetallic project in Western Australia.

Caprice Resources completed 11 holes at the Lady Sampson target, which was the first time any drilling has been done in the area.

The company reported results from the first drill hole (23NHRC001) earlier this month that had returned encouraging grades and widths of mineralisation from 39m down hole, including:

14 metres at 7.6 per cent lead, 1.1 per cent zinc and 3.1grams per tonne silver from 39m, including 6m at 11.4 per cent lead, 1.7 per cent zinc and 4.4g/t silver from 40m, and
3m at 4.2 per cent lead, 2.2 per cent zinc and 4.6g/t silver from 67m to EOH.

Caprice said the remaining holes (23NHRC002 – 011) confirmed the mineralisation, delineating a north-north-west strike with a likely steep easterly dip.

Anomalism and mineralisation have been delineated over at least 1,000 metres and remains open at depth and along strike, results included:

23NHRC011
7m at 3.5 per cent lead and 1.1 grams per tonne silver from 59m, including 2m at 7 per cent lead and 2.1g/t silver from 59m;

23NHRC008
5m at 3.1 per cent lead and 1.8g/t silver from 46m, including 1m at 7.4 per cent lead and 2.7g/t silver from 50m and 6m at 2.2 per cent lead and 1g/t silver from 53m; and

23NHRC0004
2m at 3 per cent zinc and 1.1 g/t silver from 56m.

“The program has highlighted the potential for mineralisation in this previously untested area, with the zone remaining open at depth and along strike,” Caprice Resources managing director Andrew Muir said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“The imminent follow up drilling will give further insight into continuity, metal zonation as well as depth and strike extents.”

Caprice Resources Drills Encouraging Base Metals Hits at Northampton

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Caprice Resources (ASX: CRS) reported drilling results from the company’s Northampton polymetallic project, located in the Northampton Mineral Field of Western Australia.

Caprice Resources recently completed an 11 hole RC program at the Lady Sampson prospect, situated approximately 40 kilometres southeast of the Northampton project to test north-south oriented base metals mineralisation over approx. 750 metres of strike.

The company noted this was the first time that any drilling has been done in this area.

The first drill hole (23NHRC001) of this program encountered encouraging grades and widths of mineralisation from 39m down hole.

In addition, a second zone was intersected from 67m, with the hole finishing in mineralisation.

Results include:

23NHRC001
14 metres at 7.6 per cent lead, 1.1 per cent zinc and 3.1 grams per tonne silver from 39m, including 6m at 11.4 per cent lead, 1.7 per cent zinc and 4.4g/t silver from 40m; and

3m at 4.2 per cent lead, 2.2 per cent zinc and 4.6g/t silver from 67m to EOH.

“Given this is the first drilling in this area, we see these initial results as exceptional,” Caprice Resources managing director Andrew Muir said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“The high grades and polymetallic nature, in addition to the presence of at least two zones, demonstrate the potential of the Lady Sampson prospect.

“Whilst we have only received the first hole to date, we recognise the significance of these results and will look to fast track follow up drilling at Lady Sampson.”

Caprice Resources Drilling at Northampton

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Caprice Resources (ASX: CRS) has commenced drilling at the company’s Northampton polymetallic project, located in the Northampton Mineral Field of Western Australia.

Caprice Resources has kicked off a RC drilling program on the Lady Sampson target.

This is the first RC drilling at the project by Caprice since 2020, which it carried out close to the Wheal Fortune Mine near the town of Northampton, returning outstanding results of 31 metres at 1.1 per cent copper, 2 per cent lead and 9 grams per tonne silver, including 3m at 3.8 per cent copper, 3.8 per cent lead and 3g/t silver.

The company explained the new program will test north-south oriented base metals mineralisation on the historical Lady Sampson workings.

The hole locations have been guided by historical costeaning, which identified copper and lead rich zones.

“We are very excited to finally be testing Lady Sampson following delays in permitting,” Caprice Resources managing director Andrew Muir said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“This will be a major milestone as this part of the Northampton project has never been drilled before, even though there is evidence of historical base metals mineralisation.”

Caprice Resources Hits High Grades with First Solis RC Drilling

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Caprice Resources (ASX: CRS) recently completed its first RC drilling on the Solis prospect at the southern end of the company’s Island gold project in the Murchison Region of Western Australia.

Caprice drilled Aircore at Solis earlier this year that delineated a regolith gold anomalous zone over one kilometre.

The recent RC drilling tested the anomalism down to around 100m depth compared to the average depth achieved by the aircore of 30m.

The company declared the 15 hole RC program had confirmed the geology and structural setting to be prospective for gold mineralisation and remains open.

Results include:

4m at 4.4 grams per tonne gold from 60m, including 1m at 11g/t gold from 63m;

1m at 1.5g/t gold from 35m; and

2m at 1.2g/t gold from 33m.

“We are very pleased with how exploration has progressed at Solis,” Caprice Resources managing director Andrew Muir said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“All three drill programs have generated very encouraging results.

“This latest RC program has further validated the potential for Solis, as well as other areas under Lake Austin, to host gold mineralisation.

“The high grades seen on the mafic/high-Mg basalt contact is particularly promising.

“The geology, structures and alteration bode well, and we will look to undertake additional RC drilling to test Solis further.

“Post Solis, we will commence testing the other two islands, Estrella and Luna, with first pass aircore later in the year.”

Caprice Resources Confirms Solis Gold Anomaly

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Caprice Resources (ASX: CRS) released an update on recent activity at Solis prospect, located at the southern end of the company’s Island gold project (IGP) in the Murchison Region of Western Australia.

Caprice Resources carried out an aircore program at Solis earlier this year that delineated a plus-one-kilometre-long regolith gold anomalous zone.

This was followed up by an infill program consisting of 39 holes tightening the hole spacing in the main anomalous areas.

In-line with the first aircore program, 4m composite samples were collected downhole, with 1m resamples taken for composite samples that returned gold values greater than 0.1 grams per tonne gold.

Better 1m results from the infill program include:

22IGA0088
1 metre at 3.6 grams per tonne gold from 37m;

22IGA0086
1m at 1.3g/t gold from 34m; and

22IGA0095
1m at 1.0g/t gold from 17m.

Caprice indicated the results from the infill program at Solis will be used to design an RC drilling program, which is scheduled for late June to early July.

“The maiden aircore program at Solis was an exceptional success, generating a large-scale anomaly in an untested area,” Caprice Resources managing director Andrew Muir said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“The scale and coherence of the anomaly is outstanding.

“This infill aircore program has confirmed the +1km gold anomaly and, in addition, it has enabled Caprice to effectively plan deeper RC drilling to test for mineralisation in fresh rock.

“We look forward to assessing the depth potential within the next few weeks.”
