THE DRILL SERGEANT: Auroch Minerals (ASX: AOU) reported the latest round of grab samples from historic waste dumps at the Company’s Tisová mine in the Czech Republic.
Auroch Minerals said the samples had confirmed encouraging grades of cobalt, copper, gold and silver.
The best results returned: 0.69 per cent cobalt, 17.1 per cent copper, 3.7ppm gold and 178ppm silver.
“The results from the waste dumps at the Tisová Minesite confirming the potential for a polymetallic orebody, with confirmation of economic grades of cobalt, in addition to copper, gold and silver we are looking forward to the commencement of the drilling program in September 2017,” Auroch Minerals CEO Dr Andrew Tunks said in the company’s announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange.
“Further our analysis of historic drilling at Tisová demonstrates the potential for a substantial tonnage orebody, with over one kilometre of strike and dip confirmed in the data and more importantly, open at depth and along strike.”
Auroch said it has received Government approval to commence the initial 12 holes to be drilled at Tisová.
Having now received results from the initial 40 grab samples, the company declared it is ready to proceed to drilling, on target, mid-September.
Auroch indicated it will commence its drilling campaign with an initial four holes in the Diamond Drilling phase to examine the spatial distribution of the metals within the deposit.
