Green Technology Metals Hits High Grade Spodumene at Root Project

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Green Technology Metals (ASX: GT1) rported the first assay results from the McCombe deposit within the company’s 100 per cent-owned Root project in north-west Ontario, Canada.

The Root project is located approximately 200 kilomteres west of Green Technology’s Seymour project.

The Root drilling is initially focussed on the McCombe LCT pegmatite system to delineate a maiden Mineral Resource.

Assays have been received for the first nine holes from the Phase 1 diamond drilling including:

RL-22-001
12.4 metres at 1.77 per cent lithium oxide (Li2O) from 11.8m;

RL-22-002
15.3m at 1.2 per cent Li2O from 42.2m, including 10.8 at 1.65 per cent Li2O;

RL-22-003
11.5m at 2.03 per cent Li2O from 72m;

RL-22-006
9.5m at 1.54 per cent Li2O from 21.7m;

RL-22-007
9.8m at 1.51 per cent Li2O from 64.9m, including 8m at 1.81 per cent Li2O; and

RL-22-008
8.8m at 1.8 per cent Li2O from 71.5m, including 8m at 1.94 per cent Li2O.

“Because Root hasn’t been properly explored since 1950, substantial opportunity exists to undertake systematic and modern exploration of this tenure,” Green Technology Metals executive officer Luke Cox said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“These initial assay results and intercept thicknesses from McCombe are outstanding, and together with mapping of new untested pegmatites, clearly justify the ramping up of our drilling and broader activities at Root over the coming months.”

Green Technology Metals Drills Further Step-Out Results at Seymour

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Green Technology Metals (ASX: GT1) has recommenced diamond drilling activity at the company’s Seymour lithium project in Ontario, Canada.

Green Technology Metals recommenced diamond drilling at the project’s North Aubry deposit in June.

Two holes to date have been completed the first hole (GTDD-22-0323) returned 17.9 metres spodumene bearing pegmatite from 218m.

The second completed hole (GTDD-22-0128) was drilled down-dip of GTDD-22-0323 and returned 18.6m spodumene bearing pegmatite from 312m, plus a further 6.41m pegmatite interval 60m above main zone.

Assays results for both holes are currently pending.

Green Technology explained the focus of current drilling at North Aubry is further growing the recently updated Mineral Resource estimate along strike to the north along with further depth extensions.

“We are off to a great start with the resumption of drilling at Seymour following the winter thaw period,” Green Technology Metals chief executive officer Luke Cox said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“The first step-out hole at North Aubry has intersected a significant spodumene bearing pegmatite interval, which was considerably thicker than we had modelled.

“This is expected to significantly increase the mineralised volumes in this targeted strike extension and deliver growth in our recently released interim Mineral Resource estimate at Seymour.

“We are set to continue stepping out to the north at North Aubry, targeting further strike extension of the North Aubry deposit in this direction.

“The potential of the deposit in this area, both along strike and down-dip, remains a big opportunity in terms of significant further high-grade resource growth.

“We are also on track to recommence drilling at the Pye prospect in the coming days.

“The geology at Pye remains a huge prospect for us and we are looking forward to advancing our systematic target drilling of this zone.”

Green Technology Metals Drills Seymour Step-Out Intercepts

THE DRILL SERGEANT: Green Technology Metals (ASX: GT1) received more assay results from a Phase 1 diamond drilling program underway at the company’s Seymour lithium project in Ontario, Canada.

Green Technology Metals said the Phase 1 drilling program of 16 diamond drill holes was designed to evaluate potential along-strike and down-dip extensions of the North Aubry deposit that were open and untested.

Drilling returned high-grade extensional intercepts, including:

GTDD-22-0001
10.5 metres at 1.77 per cent lithium oxide (Li2O) from 123.2m, including 7m at 2.11 per cent Li2O;

GTDD-22-0013
18.2m at 1.1 per cent Li2O from 304.2m, including 3.1m at 2.05 per cent Li2O; and

GTDD-22-0014
4.5m at 0.61 per cent Li2O from 250.7m, including 2.5m at 1.01 per cent Li2O.

Green Technology has already commenced further northern step-out drilling of the North Aubry deposit with hole GTDD-22-0320 intercepting 10.7m of pegmatite demonstrating visible spodumene (assays pending), extending the known North Aubry pegmatite a further 150m down-dip from the nearest intercept.

The company declared the results from the Phase 1 drilling indicate substantial potential upside to the existing Seymour Mineral Resource estimate of 4.8 million tonnes at 1.25 per cent Li2O.

With that in mind, an updated Mineral Resource estimate for Seymour is on track for completion during Q2 CY2022.

“In total, the Phase 1 drilling program at Seymour has been highly successful,” Green Technology Metals chief executive officer Luke Cox said in the company’s ASX announcement.

“The results are expected to drive a substantial increase to the existing Seymour resource this quarter.

“We are also pleased to have commenced further northern and down-dip extensional drilling of the North Aubry pegmatite so rapidly.

“The initial result from hole GTDD-22-0320 offers further immediate potential to positively impact on mineralised pegmatite extents and volume.”

Green Technology Metals Increases Canadian Lithium Footprint

THE BOURSE WHISPERER: Green Technology Metals (ASX: GT1) announced an increase to its landholding in Ontario, Canada.

Green Technology Metals completed the acquisition by way of its wholly owned subsidiary Lithium Triangle Resource, increasing its tenement base from 9,467 hectares to 35,576 hectares through execution of multiple option agreements and tenement pegging activities.

The new landholdings surround GT1’s existing projects, Seymour and Root, as well as being in a new project area named Allison and select other project areas (Pennock Lake, Root Bay, Superb Lake and Gathering Lake).

As a result, GT1 has entered binding option agreements with two unrelated parties to acquire claim packages in the Allison area.

The Allison Batholith is a multiphase intrusion that has previously been identified as prospective for evolved LCT type pegmatites.

GT1 has also entered into an option agreement with Solstice Gold Corporation (CVE: SGC) to acquire 31 mining claims across four locations: Pennock Lake, Root Bay, Superb Lake and Gathering Lake.

The company explained that all the newly pegged and optioned tenements have been ranked based off prospective geological setting plus any observed pegmatite widths and lithium grades.

GT1 indicated it plans to undertake a systematic evaluative approach to exploration of these new areas, alongside rapid advancement of its core Seymour, Root and Wisa projects, in keeping with its focus on building a sustainable, North American focussed lithium production business.
